The HVAC system is the only thing preventing a livestock arena from becoming an auxiliary Witham Hospital.
The system in the Witham Health Pavilion at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds is in operating order but must be sanitized before patients can move in, Brett Peppin, Boone County Health Department director of environmental health, said Tuesday.
Crews have sanitized all touchable surfaces, and the HVAC system should be completed this week. The hospital can be ready within a day of that, if needed, he said. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
