The final sanitization of the Witham Pavilion at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds occurred Monday morning, and the building normally is ready for hospital patients. Pillows and blankets stand ready at each bedside. Boone County Commissioners declared a county state of emergency and shut down the fairgrounds for this purpose March 16 to give authorities time to make the building ready as a precautionary measure.
