On Monday, June 28, 2021, at approximately 1:58pm, Clinton County Central Dispatch received a 911 call for a two vehicle crash with multiple injuries at State Road 75 and County Road 700N.
A preliminary investigation determined that Brittany Burch, 37, of Laurel was traveling westbound on County Road 700 N. Crystal Ragan, 36, of Frankfort was traveling southbound on State Road 75. Burch disregarded the stop sign for the intersection and made impact with Ragan driver’s side of the vehicle. Both vehicles sustained massive damage.
Burch, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was entrapped under the dashboard and airbags on the front passenger side of the vehicle. She was transported by air to an Indianapolis hospital, her condition unknown.
 Ragan was partially ejected from her vehicle as a result of the impact. Ragan had four children inside the vehicle, two of which who were also ejected due to the impact of the crash. Two children  were also transported by air to a Lafayette hospital, their conditions unknown. Ragan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner’s Office. Her family has been notified.
This crash is still under investigation.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rossville Fire Department, Frankfort Fire Department, Indiana State Police, Clinton County Coroner’s Office, Clinton County EMS, Rossville EMS, Clinton County Central Dispatch, Rossville Town Marshal, Rossville School Police and the Frankfort Police Department. Air support provided from Lifeline, STAT flight and Lutheran.
