A Lebanon man recently received another two years of probation for a string of drug crimes. Jay T. Whitsitt, 39, pleaded guilty April 5 to possession of a narcotic drug. Boone Superior Court II Judge Bruce Petit sentenced him to two years in the Boone County Jail with both years suspended in favor of probation. Whitsitt was already serving a 15-year sentence with Community Corrections after he waved his right to a jury trial, and Boone Superior Court I Judge Matthew Kincaid in December found him guilty of conspiracy to commit dealing in a narcotic drug and conspiracy to commit dealing in a schedule II controlled substance.
