House fire at 622 Edgewood Dr. Lebanon

At 1:31 am  Friday morning fire crews were dispatched to 622 Edgewood Dr. on a house fire. Lebanon Police Officers were first on the scene and advised incoming units the scene was a working fire.
Firefighters were met with heavy fire conditions in the rear of the home. Water was on the fire within 10 minutes of dispatch and marked under control at 1:59 am. Homeowners were alerted to the fire by smoke detectors. The two residents and two pets safely self-evacuated the home. Lt. Jason Adams was assigned lead investigator of the incident. The area of origin was determined to be underneath the deck at the rear of the home. Currently the cause is undetermined, but no foul play is expected. Kristen Linton, the Boone
County Salvation Army Area Disaster Coordinator was called to the scene to assist the homeowners. No injuries were reported. The City of Lebanon Fire Department would like to encourage all residents to check and maintain the smoke detectors in their homes. This early Friday morning, smoke detectors truly saved lives.
