A flue fire forced a Thorntown area family out of their home in the early morning hours on Wednesday. No one was injured and all of the pets escaped, but the home and its contents are probably a total loss, that according to Thorntown Sugar Creek Volunteer Fire Chief Mike Martin.  A woman reported the fire on Ind. 47 near Interstate 65 at about 1 a.m., and firefighters from Thorntown and Lebanon got water on the flames within about nine minutes. Preliminary estimates of damage are $100,000 to the home and $50,000 to the contents, Martin said. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
