A former state Representative is dead at age 38. Dan Forestal was found dead at the Quality Inn near I-465 and North Michigan Road when police did a welfare check on Wednesday. His cause of death is unknown as the coroner’s office awaits toxicology results. Forestal was elected to the Indiana House of Representatives in 2012, but resigned in 2020 following an arrest for resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct, and battery on a public official in June. Forestal also served as a private with the Indianapolis Fire Department.
