Frankfort City Officials prepare to break ground on the new police station.
Frankfort city officials came together Monday for the ground breaking of the new police station. This project started with a vision and countless hours from Mayor Sheets, Chief Shoemaker, City Council, Board of Public Works, Les Bergen, former Mayor Chris McBarnes, Kenny Estes, Jim Siegfried, and former Police Chief Troy Bacon. Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets stated, “Thank you to our local partners, Community Foundation, as this site would not be possible without you. I know this is just a start to all of the great accomplishments, trainings, and programs that will be taking place at this location. I have no doubt this new police department will be a wonderful addition to our great City.”
