FRANKFORT, Ind. – The City of Frankfort and the Frankfort Fire Department donated a Fire Engine and equipment to Bardwell, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. The southwest Kentucky Fire Department was devastated by the December 10th tornadoes and many lost most or all of their equipment and fire stations.

“The Frankfort Fire Department partnered with our local fire departments in Clinton County and Carroll County to acquire the much-needed firefighting supplies that we could donate,” said Chief Matt Stidham of the Frankfort Fire Department. “We had overwhelming support and were able to donate many items to help those departments in Kentucky. Many of our departments donated firefighter gear, extrication equipment, air packs, pumps, and other various job-related equipment.”

“I would like to personally thank Jeremy Payne, Mitch Laughner, The City of Frankfort, Mayor Sheets, members of the Frankfort Fire Department, Forest Volunteer Fire Department, Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department, Kirklin Volunteer Fire Department, Michigantown Volunteer Fire Department, Burrows/Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department, and Clinton County EMA for their donations and efforts to help our first responders in their time of needs. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that was devastated by this natural disaster and we are proud to be able to help.”
