FRANKFORT, Ind. – Frankfort Street Department crews will start slowing down on leaf collection as we are nearing the end of the season.
According to Street Superintendent Jason Forsythe, the last day for leaf collection will be Friday, December 17, 2021. “Our crews have been working hard by picking up leaf piles around Frankfort. Thank you to the community for doing your part by placing your leaves close to the curb, making sure vehicles are not parked by the leaf piles and that other yard waste was not in the leaf piles.”
Leaves, brush, and grass clippings can also be brought to the Street Department’s compost site at 905 Burlington Avenue, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 8:00 a.m. – noon, year-round. Leaves and clippings need to be removed from bags before being added to the compost pile.
