On May 24, 2023, at approximately 11:25 PM, a FPD Officer observed a moped being driven on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of E Wabash St. The moped also had two occupants on it. Due to these violations a traffic stop was conducted. After an investigation, the passenger, Austin Klima, 19, of Frankfort was arrested on drug charges. Austin is currently out on bond through Clinton County Superior Court for several drug related charges, including a Level 2 Felony charge for dealing in methamphetamine. That investigation was conducted by FPD’s narcotics unit.Thursday, the following charges were formally filed by the Clinton County Indiana Prosecutor’s Office:
– Possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony
– Unlawful possession of a legend drug , Level 6 Felony
– Possession of paraphernalia, C Misdemeanor
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
