Geneva “Jenny” Bowles, 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Clinton House in Frankfort, Indiana. She was born on January 18, 1943, in Homer, Michigan, a daughter of the late Edward “Bud” Brown and Mary Lou (Rowe) Brown.
On October 17, 1959, she was united in marriage to Morris Guy “Moe” Bowles in Morocco, Indiana. He passed away December 22, 1983.
Geneva attended Athens Michigan High School. She worked as nurse for over 30 years with Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Geneva loved mushroom hunting and enjoyed being with her family. She attended Zions Chapel in Lafayette for many years.
Survivors include her children, Lisa M. Nease and Jeffery A. Bowles both of Frankfort; grandchildren, James Nease, Brianna Nease, Britten Bowles, and Cheyenne Bowles; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Laffoon Myers of Lafayette, Edith Hendricks of Greenwood, Brenda Davis of Frankfort; and
many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Geneva was preceded in death by her son, James E. Bowles; daughter, Marsha M. Bowles; brothers, Richard Brown, Roger Brown, James Brown, and Charles Brown; and sisters, Barbara Norwick, and Margie Guntz.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Interment will follow at Browns Wonder Cemetery, Lebanon, Indiana.
