Harold Eugene (Gene) Revell, 93, passed away April 17, 2024, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

He was born April 20, 1930, in Montgomery County, a son of the late Walter Coleman and Lillian Mae Revell. On June 2, 1951, he was married to Patricia Joan (Andrews) Revell in Lebanon. They were married 52 years before her passing.

Gene served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954, earning the rank of Sergeant. He was honorably discharged in 1954 and returned to Boone County where he began his lifelong farming career.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he loved his family and will be greatly missed by all. Gene enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, puttering around the farm and his occasional trips to the casinos.

Survivors include his six children, Chuck (Pat), Don, David (Barb), Cindy (Bill) Burns, Doug (Jennifer), all of Lebanon and Karen (Ron) Ellis of Carmel; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sisters, Pat Flood and Ruth Hopper, both of Lebanon.

In addition to his parents and wife, Gene was preceded in death by his daughters, Pamela and Linda; brothers, Don and Robert; sister-in-law, Wilma Jean Revell; and brother-in-law, Roy Flood.

Family and friends will gather Sunday, April 21, for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 22, at 10 a.m. in the Mortuary. Gene will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
