Helen J. Flowers, 92, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at her home. She was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Ward and Mayme Audra Mae (Havens) Campbell.

Helen attended Lebanon Schools and Indianapolis Beauty School. At the age of 70, she finished her diploma, alongside her grandson. Helen worked as a Beautician at Nora Plaza and also owned and operated the Wolf Inn in Newberry, MI, where locals would travel for deer hunting and snowmobile trips. She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, and being a member of the Red Hat Society. Helen loved her family, especially her grandkids.

Survivors include her son, Ernie (Janet) Dollard of Lebanon; daughters, Angela Gregg of Frankfort, Gloria (Tom) Stewart of Lebanon, and Margaret Freeman of Frankfort; grandchildren, Monica (Kim) Rominger of Avon, Lita (Tim) Welch of Texas, Tammy Smith of Lebanon, Keith Dollard of Indianapolis, Kevin (Debbie) Dollard of Fishers, Patrick (Daisy) Dollard of Indianapolis, April (Steve) Edwards of Lebanon, Melissa Heffelmier of Ohio, Amanda Alexander of Cutler, Derrick (Tiffnay) Freeman of Frankfort, Rachel Kolp of Lafayette, Kendra Brown-Kamler of Lafayette, and Maleia Kolp of Frankfort; and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Flowers; son, James Earl Dollard; brothers, Ernest and Raymond Campbell; twin brother, Howard “Peanut” Campbell; and sister, Julia Holeton.

Family and friends will gather Thursday, Oct. 5, for visitation from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. A funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. in the Mortuary. Helen will be laid to rest at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon.
