The City of Frankfort is preparing and expecting thousands of visitors this weekend during the Hot Dog Festival on Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30th. In addition to the festival, INDOT is working on a large infrastructure project along State Road 28. The project started spring of 2021 and should be wrapping up in October of 2022. Currently, the detour for semi-traffic is Washington Avenue to East Washington Street back to Jackson Street (State Road 39). During the 2-day Hot Dog Festival, the detour will be changing. INDOT, Clinton County, and the City of Frankfort have agreed to start the detour on Thursday, July 28th and it will remain in effect until Sunday, July 31st.
