The Humane Society for Boone County will host its annual fundraiser event on Sat.,Feb. 26 at the Golf Club of Indiana.
The HSforBC Furball offers a casual, New Orleans-themed night out and this year’s event features an in-person “pawty” in addition to a virtual attendance option. In-person guests will enjoy silent and live auctions, wine and spirit pulls, guest speakers, plenty of comfort food, and dessert surprises. Virtual guests can watch the party, bid on silent auction items and enjoy a Furball goodie bag that organizers hope will make them feel like they’re part of the event.
“We are excited to be back in person and be able to offer a virtual option this year,” said HSforBC Executive Director Susan Austin.
FurBall will be in the Cardinal Room at the Golf Club of Indiana, 6905 S County Road 525 E, Whitestown. Doors open at 5:45 pm, dinner is at 6:00 pm and the event begins at 7:00 pm. The virtual viewing “pawty” joins via Zoom at 7:00 pm.
The silent auction will open at noon on Sat.., Feb. 19 and close at noon the day after the event, Sun., Feb. 27. The wine and spirit pulls will be open during the event. All auction items, wine and spirits will be available to be picked up at the Humane Society after 2:00 pm Sun., Feb. 27. Live auction items can be taken home from the event.
As Austin and the many HSforBC volunteers look to increase much-needed animal care in a quickly growing county, they hope the fundraiser is more successful than ever.
“Come cough it up for the animals,” laughed Austin.
