(Indianapolis, IN) — The Indianapolis’ Colts search for a head coach is over. NFL.com reports the team will hire Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich [[ rike ]] as their new coach. The two sides have agreed to a five-year contract. The Colts had to resume their search after Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels backed out of the job last week.

Reich played quarterback in the NFL from 1985 through 1998. He started his coaching career with the Colts in 2008 and was with Indy through 2011. He has served as Philadelphia’s OC since 2016. Reich will replace Chuck Pagano, who was fired after six seasons.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The annual NFL Scouting Combine is returning to Indianapolis later this month. The Combine opens on February 27th at Lucas Oil Stadium. Executives from every team in the league will arrive in Indy to scout the top NFL prospects in person. The 2018 NFL Draft starts on April 26th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

(Indianapolis, IN) — Victor Oladipo piled up 30 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and six steals as the Pacers took care of the Knicks 121-113 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Indiana knocked down 12 threes and shot 50-percent from the field on its way to a second straight win. The Pacers are 32-and-25. Indy visits Brooklyn on Valentines Day.

(East Lansing, MI) — Miles Bridges nailed the go-ahead three-pointer with seven seconds left as fourth-ranked Michigan State knocked off number-three Purdue 68-65 on Saturday in East Lansing. Isaac Haas led the Boilermakers with 25 points. Carsen Edwards added 14 as Purdue dropped to 23-and-4 and 12-and-2 in Big Ten play.

(Bradenton, FL) — Pitchers and catchers for the Pittsburgh Pirates will report to spring training today in Bradenton, Florida. The rest of the team gets to town on Sunday and the first full-squad practice is next Monday. The Indianapolis Indians have served as Pittsburgh’s Triple-A affiliate since 2005. The Pirates’ first spring training game is on February 23rd against the Rays.
