(Los Angeles, CA) — Victor Oladipo scored seven points for Team LeBron as it defeated Team Stephen [[ STEF-in ]] 148-145 in the NBA All-Star game at the STAPLES Center. Oladipo was a reserve for LeBron James’ squad. This was the first year the teams were drafted by the top-two All-Star vote getters. Golden State’s Steph Curry was the other captain. James took home game MVP honors. Oladipo also took part in Saturday’s Slam Dunk Contest won by Utah’s Donovan Mitchell.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Pacers are off until Friday when they host the Hawks to open the second half of the NBA season. Philly entered the break winners of three-straight and fifth in the East at 33-and-25 overall. Atlanta is tied for the worst record in the league at 18-and-41. The Pacers won the first of the four meetings between the teams this season.

The Colts have officially announced the hiring of assistant coaches to new head coach Frank Reich’s staff over the weekend. Matt Eberflus was named defensive coordinator, Nick Sirianni is the new offensive coordinator, Bubba Ventrone is the special teams coordinator and Rusty Jones was hired as director of sports performance.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The annual NFL Scouting Combine is returning to Indianapolis next week. The Combine opens on a week from tomorrow at Lucas Oil Stadium. Executives from every team in the league will arrive in Indy to scout the top NFL prospects in person. The 2018 NFL Draft starts on April 26th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

(West Lafayette, IN) — Carsen Edwards piled up 27 points as seventh-ranked Purdue edged Penn State 76-73 in West Lafayette last night. Edwards made a pair of free throws in with three seconds left to close out the win. The Boilermakers have two games remaining in the regular season. They visit Illinois on Thursday before hosting Minnesota on Sunday.

(Undated) — Elsewhere in college hoops on Saturday, Butler cruised past Providence 69-54 at Hinkle Fieldhouse, Notre Dame clobbered Boston College 84-67 in Chestnut Hill, Indiana won 84-82 at Iowa and Indiana State was clipped at home by Southern Illinois 76-72 in overtime. Notre Dame is back in action tonight against Miami in South Bend. Tip time is set for 7 p.m.
