(Indianapolis, IN) — The Pacers are back in action tonight as they welcome the Heat to town. Indy will look to make it three-straight on the homestand after wins over Chicago and Milwaukee in the first two games. They close the stand against Cleveland on Friday. The Pacers are 21-and-19, good enough for eighth in the Eastern Conference. Miami is 23-and-17. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

(Undated) — Juwan Morgan led the way with 21 points and 11 rebounds as Indiana held off Penn State 74-70 in Bloomington. The Hoosiers have won four-of-five to improve to 10-and-7 overall with a 3-and-2 mark in Big Ten play. Isaac Haas’ free throw with less than five-seconds remaining lifted seventh-ranked Purdue over Michigan, 70-69. Haas finished with 17 points and Carsen Edwards scored 19 for the Boilermakers, who are 16-and-2 and 5-and-0 in conference. Elsewhere on the college hardwood, Butler fell at Creighton 85-74 and Ball State topped Ohio 75-68.

(South Bend, IN) — Notre Dame is keeping it in house for the open defensive coordinator position. The Fighting Irish are promoting linebackers coach Clark Lea to fill the vacancy. The news comes days after Mike Elko left to become Texas A&M’s defensive coordinator. This would be Lea’s first coordinator job. He previously served as linebackers coach at Wake Forest and Bowling Green under Elko, with stints at Syracuse and UCLA.
