The 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 takes place Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Ed Carpenter is the pole-sitter, with Simon Pagenaud [[ PAJ-eh-no ]] and Will Power filling out the first row. This will be the final career race for Danica Patrick, who qualified seventh and will start in row three. Pacers guard Victor Oladipo [[ oh-lah-DEE-poh ]] will drive the pace car.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Colts resume organized team activities on Wednesday. Andrew Luck has been on the field this week, but has not been throwing the football. He’ll reportedly begin throwing next month. The Colts have seven OTA practices left. Mandatory minicamp opens June 12th.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The accolades keep coming for Pacers guard Victor Oladipo [[ oh-lah-DEE-poh ]]. He was named to the All-NBA Third Team yesterday, just days after making the All-Defensive First Team. Oladipo is also a finalist for the NBA’s Most Improved Player.

(Indianapolis, IN) — Tyler Eppler and two relievers combined on a seven-hit shutout as the Indians blanked the Bats 4-0 at Victory Field. Eppler struck out nine and improved to 4-and-2. Pablo Reyes drilled a two-run double in the second for the Tribe. Eric Wood also doubled in a run. The Indians have won four-of-five. They’ll visit the Charlotte Knights tonight. First pitch is at 7:04 p.m.

>>Fever Fall To Mystics

(Indianapolis, IN) — Rookie guard Kelsey Mitchell put up 25 points but the Fever fell to the Mystics 93-84 in Indianapolis last night. Candace Dupree added 21 points for Indiana, which fell to 0-and-4 overall and 0-and-3 at home. Elena Delle Donne scored 26 for Washington. The Fever visit Connecticut tomorrow.
