The Indiana Department of Transportation is making progress on the bridge replacement project on State Road 39 over Sugar Creek in Mechanicsburg.

This project was awarded to Force Construction Co. for $3.1 million. The project also includes a bridge deck replacement on S.R.38 over Sugar Creek, a small structure replacement on S.R. 39 south of I-65 in Boone County and a bridge deck overlay project on both the eastbound and westbound U.S. 52 bridges over Goldsberry Creek, located just west of S.R.47 and have already been completed.
