At approximately 5:27 Thursday morning, Boone County Communications received a 911 call advising that a pedestrian had been struck by a semi tractor-trailer in the area of I-65, at approximately the 129.4 Southbound, Zionsville. As a result of this accident, the pedestrian did pass away due to the nature of their injuries.
Currently, this incident is under investigation by the Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team. The Boone County Sheriffs Department are currently in the process of trying to identify the deceased party and make contact with family.
