James Bennett “Jim” Gulley, 74, passed away on July 9, 2022 at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born April 25, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana; the second son of nine children to the late Leon and JoAnn (Mobley) Gulley.
He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. In 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded The Purple Heart along with many other medals for meritorious service.
Jim was honorably discharged from the Marines in 1972. He then worked at Seradyn, Inc. and Dow Chemical Company in Indianapolis while serving in the Indiana Army National Guard, where he retired from in April of 2008.
Jim leaves behind one daughter, Linda Jean Gulley; seven brothers, Michael, Robert, Richard, Paul, Phillip, Mark and Steve. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Karen
Graveside Funeral Services with military rites will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
