Mr. James E. Hair, 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born July 14, 1942, in Hustonville, Kentucky, the son of the late Ben and Addie (Lane) Hair.
On March 21, 1970, he was united in marriage to Anita G. (Holland) Hair at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Fayette, Indiana. She survives.
James was a 1960 graduate of Emmanuel High School in Indianapolis. Following school, he started work for WTTV Channel 4. He left the station to serve his country in the United States Army in Southeast Asia for three years. James returned to the television station and dedicated 30 years as operations manager. After retirement, he started his own company, Teleview Electronics, servicing the hospital industry.
James was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas once a year with any family or friend that wanted to join him. Jim could fix anything and loved the challenge.
Survivors include his wife, Anita G. Hair of Lebanon; two children, Bryan Hair and Karrie Hair of Lebanon; sisters, Betty Robinson of Greenwood and Patricia (Rick) Newkirk of Texas; and fifteen nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Levi and Nellie Pitzer.
Private Funeral Services are planned for family and relatives of James at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2022, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Private Visitation for family and relatives will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Interment with military rites will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
