Mr. James “Jim” Dye, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at the Restoracy of Whitestown.

Jim was born Nov. 29, 1938, in Lebanon, a son of the late Rupert and Mary (Dickerson) Dye. He married Lova K. Evans on Dec. 9, 1962. She passed away in June 2019.

Jim graduated from Lebanon High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy. Following his service, Jim worked for Rock Island/ Marathon as an electrician and pipe fitter for many years, when he eventually retired. He enjoyed playing cards, especially poker and solitaire, going for car rides, and attending the Wednesday Elks Dinner Club. Jim also loved traveling with his wife.

Survivors include his daughters, Maria Keesee of Lebanon and Michelle (Theron) Reichard of St. Petersburg, FL; and grandchildren, AJ (Austin), Connor, and Mary Margaret Keesee. In addition to his loving wife, Jim was preceded in death by his grandson, Lucas Keesee.

Family and friends will gather Monday, March 1, 2021, for a Celebration of Life service at 4 p.m., followed by a visitation until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N.
