Mrs. Janet L. Boone, 76, of Lebanon, passed away Aug. 13, 2019, at home surrounded by her family.
Janet was born Feb. 14, 1943, in Boone County, IN, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Frances (Cornett) Anderson. She was a 1961 graduate of Perry Central High School. She married Danny R. Boone on Oct. 28, 1961. He survives.
Janet retired in 1999 from Farm Bureau Co-op where she worked in accounts receivable for 30 years.
Janet loved cooking, canning and collecting antiques. She specialized in Christmas candies and cheese balls. Janet also enjoyed going to garage sales and playing Yahtzee and Euchre.
Survivors include her husband, Danny and two sons, John (Angie) Boone and Jeff Boone; grandchildren: Dakota, Parker, Marley, Leland, Jake, Amanda and Billy; brothers: Stanley (Sherry) Anderson of Katy, TX and Steve Anderson of Lebanon. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a brother, John Anderson.
Family and friends will gather Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 for visitation from 4-8 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Janet will be laid to rest at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department, 7470 S. State Road 267, Lebanon, IN 46052.
