Janet Mae Flint, of Jamestown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Brownsburg Meadows. She was 81 years old. Born in Linton, Greene County, Indiana on August 23, 1942, she was a daughter of John C. and Margaret M. (Halsema) Gick.
In 1993, Janet was united in marriage to Harland Eugene Flint in Crawfordsville, Indiana; he survives.
She was a 1960 graduate of Darlington High School. Janet had worked 28 years as a branch manager for the State Bank of Lizton.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved her family greatly, especially her grandchildren. Janet was a faithful member of the Dover Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harland E. Flint of Jamestown; children, Greg (Kristina) Hole of Thorntown, Brian (Angela) Hole of Jamestown, Shelly (Bill) Kelsey of Jamestown, and Alisa (Paul) Gann of Lebanon; stepdaughters, Twila Houston of Danville and Sara (Brad) Jarvis of New Market; ten grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren; brother, Dennis Gick of Wingate; sister, Sue Gibson of Lafayette; sisters-in-law, Marlene Gick of Dayton and Connie Gick of Wauconda, Illinois.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by brothers, Duane Gick, Thomas Gick, and Jerald Gick; sister, Barbara Suiter; and a stepdaughter, Debra Arnold.
Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Dover Christian Church, State Road 75, in Dover, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Dover Cemetery. Myers Mortuary in Lebanon has been entrusted with her care.
