The Boone County Council this week tabled a request to fund a coordinator position for the Boone County Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative.Boone County has had the position since 2013, but it was funded by a grant. While the county is still set to receive money for JDAI programming, the county council must now fund a program coordinator.
JDAI is a national program developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation that is focused on juvenile justice system improvement, according to the state website. More details found in The Lebanon Reporter.
