Jeff Lasley, 62, of Lebanon, Indiana, was united with Jesus in heaven on September 29th.

Jeff was a lifelong resident of Boone County and attended Lebanon schools with the Class of 1978.

Born and raised in the country, Jeff loved farming, agriculture and driving in the countryside looking at the fields. Harvest time was his favorite season.

Jeff first worked for IMC in Gadsden as an applicator. He later worked for the Co-op (now Co-Alliance) in agriculture; and in his later years, he delivered LP gas to farmers and rural customers throughout Boone and the surrounding counties.

Jeff loved country music and dancing, gathering with family for the holidays and cracking jokes with friends. He had a great sense of humor and a love of sharing stories with others.

Jeff is survived by his daughter Amber (Brandon) Childers of St. Petersburg, Florida, and son Joe (Avery) Lasley, of Indianapolis. Also surviving are his mother, Shirley Lasley of Lebanon; brothers Mark Lasley (Julie McNeely) and Steve (Susan) Lasley, both of rural Lebanon; sister Charlene Hickey of Lebanon, as well as his nephew Seth Hickey, St. Meinrad, Indiana.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Marvin Lasley and granddaughter Isabel Wang.

Services for Jeff will be held at Myers Mortuary on Monday, October 3, 2022, with visitation from 5-7 p.m. and the funeral service immediately following at 7 p.m.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date for friends and family to gather and do what Jeff loved – tell stories, laugh and be together.

Donations in Jeff’s name may be made to MitoAction.org, Riley Children’s Hospital, Boone County Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
