Jeffrey Eugene Wade, 62, passed away peacefully at his sister’s home in Lebanon, Indiana on Saturday, April 4, 2020. He was born April 17, 1957 in Lebanon, a son of the late Edwin Eugene Wade and Phyllis Deloras Wade. He was raised by his mother.
He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1975. Jeff had devoted 35+ years in various positions and most recently as the HVAC, Energy and Aquatics technician for the Zionsville School Corporation.
He loved his family dearly and spent a lot of time making sure they knew it. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, water and snow skiing, and he was an avid IndyCar and NASCAR racing fan.
Survivors include, girlfriend, Elaine Heazeltine of Indianapolis; sister, Cindy (Keith) Johnson of Lebanon; nieces and nephews, Andrew and Alicia Johnson of Thorntown, Jeffrey and Bonnie Johnson of Grovetown, GA, and Robert and Laura Johnson of Bradenton, FL; great nephews, Aidan Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Caleb Johnson, and Dominic Goings; great nieces, Autumn Johnson, Adalyn Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Julia Johnson, and Gracie Johnson; aunts, Linda Ping and Sue Wade; uncle, Lee Ping; cousins, Tim Ping, Linda Wade Bickel, Charee and John Simon, Leslie Simon, Melissa Simon, Grant and Lizzy Bickel, and Mary Bickel; special niece and nephew, Mark and Jillian Dunbar; and special great nieces, Amara Dunbar, Brinleigh Dunbar, and Sawyer Dunbar.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by two uncles, Robert “Bob” Broshar and Grant Wade; an aunt, Olive Wade; and a cousin, Ricky Ping.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon. Friends are invited to view Jeffrey’s services on the Myers Mortuary Facebook page. Interment will follow services at Old Union Cemetery, rural Jamestown, Indiana.
Memorials may be directed in his memory to the Boone County Cancer Society, the Humane Society for Boone County, or the Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation.
