Jerry Wade Wardrip, Sr., 79, of Delphi, Indiana, passed on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. He was born in Kosmosdale, Kentucky on May 24, 1940, a son of the late James A. and Frances T. (Jameson) Wardrip.
He attended schools in Indianapolis and served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.
Jerry was a longtime Indianapolis resident before recently moving to Delphi to be closer to his daughter.
He was a machinist for Precision Machine Company in Indianapolis and a member of the Moose Lodge in Beech Grove.
Jerry loved listening to music and was a great bass guitar player. In addition to music, he enjoyed working on computers and being with friends and family. He was a kind soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Entombment of ashes with military rites will be held at a later date at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his care.
