JoAnn E. Clevenger, 82, passed away on August 20, 2019 at her home in Lebanon. She was born on March 31, 1937 in Gosport, Indiana; a daughter of the late Joseph Earl and Elizabeth (Hartman) Applegate.

Raised in Owen County, Indiana, she attended schools in Mecca.

On October 2, 1955, she was married to Jack M. Clevenger in Mecca, Indiana; he preceded her in death in 2002. Together, they had lived ten years each in Brownsburg and Pittsboro before making their home in Lebanon.

JoAnn retired in 2012 after working many years at Ulen Country Club in food service and Signature Healthcare at Parkwood in the laundry room.

She was a caring person who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed gardening and was known for the beautiful irises in her yard.

Joe (Marlena) Clevenger of Slate, TX
Debbie (Curtis) Wood of Lebanon
Michael (Vickie) Clevenger of New England, ND
Thirteen Grandchildren
Twenty-two Great Grandchildren
Brother-in-law: Jack Williams of Phoenix, AZ

In addition to her parents and husband, JoAnn was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Williams.

Entombment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
Myers Mortuary of Lebanon has been entrusted with her arrangements.
