No Western Boone girls basketball player has scored as many points as Madison Jones. The Stars senior made a lay-up with 4:00 left in the third quarter Saturday afternoon against West Lafayette to score her 1,397th point, passing the total of Cathy Beesley (1,395). Jones now has 1,411 total points scored and lot of basketball left to be played this season. Jones finished the game with 49 points, setting the single-game scoring record at Western Boone with two free throws with 24.9 seconds left. Courtney Nicley had the previous record of 47 points, set in 2001. Western Boone defeated West Lafayette 72 to 62.
