Julia “Judy” Anne Wise, 94, of Jamestown, died Friday, June 25 in the Hendricks Regional Hospital. Judy was born October 7, 1926 in New Ross, Indiana, a daughter of the late Martin L. and Julia E, Walters Kinkead. She graduated from New Ross High School with the class of 1944. Judy married the late Merlin Wise on December 7, 1946 in Crawfordsville.
Judy did clerical work at the Swallow Bus Company in Indianapolis for two years and A.L. Houk and Son Insurance for seventeen years. Most recently she worked for the Porter Insurance Agency and Porter Funeral Homes for thirty nine years. She was a member of the Jamestown Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary 395.
Survivors include her son, Phil (Rebecca) Wise; daughters, Delores (Robert) Mcanulty of Jamestown and Bonnie (Bill Craft) Smith of Rockville; sister, Marinette Kincaid of Advance; grandchildren, Julie Wiley of Moorseville, Tracy Wise of Oregon, Paul Wise of Washington and Adam Wise of Colorado; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Jaylie and Madison. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Gary Smith; brothers, Robert Kinkead and Stephen Kinkead; sisters, Martha Redman and Mona J. Knox; grandchildren, Lori Wright and Scott Wise.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, June 29 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve King officiating in the Porter Funeral Home, 315 W Main Street, Jamestown, Indiana 46147.
