Kelly (Sewell) Utsler, 56, of Brownsburg, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023.
She was born Feb. 21, 1967, in Clinton County, a daughter of the late Stephen L. and Judith Ann (Haase) Sewell.
Kelly graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1985. She was a long-time resident of Brownsburg, Indiana where she lived with husband, Jeff Utsler, who preceded her in death. Kelly was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking for her friends and family. Kelly was very good at making crafts and enjoyed attending travel car shows, along with her love for Disney. She always worked in Customer Service and Accounts Payable positions in her professional career. Kelly was a compassionate person. She had a love for animals, especially cats.
Survivors include her step-mother, Laurita “Rita” Sewell of Lebanon, and siblings, Scott (Kim) Sewell, Stephanie (Rick) Bushman, and Marty (Lori) Sewell.
Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Utsler and sister, Tracy Sewell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Kelly Sewell-Utsler to Love INC, a non-for-profit organization. Love in the Name of Christ of Boone County is a unique network of churches and agencies that respond to need of ordinary people who need HOPE in the midst of a difficult time in life.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, Aug. 5, for a memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Shawn Tulley officiating in the Dover Christian Church, 955 IN-75, Lebanon, IN 46052. A reception will follow memorial services.
Final care of Kelly has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
