Lafayette attorney Earl McCoy is charged with a level 6 felony of attempted sexual battery. McCoy allegedly forced himself on an employee on May 6th last year when she went out for drinks at a downtown pub with others from the office. He is accused of putting his hands on her neck when she tried to leave a conference room after he asked if she had ever been in a threesome, and she believed he was trying to kill her. McCoy also allegedly pinned her against a wall and moved her hand toward his groin.
