Larry E. Brush, 82, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at his home in Whitestown. He was born in Terre Haute, on July 12, 1941; a son of the late James E. Brush and Margaret Inez (Graham) Brush.

On July 28, 1958, Larry was united in marriage to Janet Sue (King) Brush in Lebanon. She preceded him in death on December 16, 2004.

Larry moved to Whitestown in 1946 and attended Whitestown schools. He honorably served in the United States Army for four years. He was active in the Whitestown community as a volunteer firefighter, police officer, he was involved in civil defense, and was in the Boy Scout Pack #431. Larry was a member for 55 years at the Whitestown #410 American Legion and was commander for five terms. He was a truck driver with Keebler Company for 17 years and many other trucking companies after that.

Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include six children, Pamela Sue Staples of Lebanon, Teresa Ann (Dean) Mayotte of Sheldon, Illinois, Garry E. Brush of Westfield, Sheila Kay Brush of Lebanon, Cheryl Janette Spaulding of Westfield, and Michael Douglas Brush of Whitestown; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; brother; Donald E. Brush of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Larry is preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Lynn Woodward; one grandson; sister, Betty J. Brown; and his half-brother, Bill Giles.

Funeral Services with Military Rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery near Zionsville.
