Lebanon Community School Corporation (LCSC) is pleased to announce Amber Walters as the new Principal of Hattie B. Stokes Elementary. With a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to student success, Mrs. Walters brings a dynamic leadership style that will enrich the educational experience for students, staff, and the community.
Amber Walters joins LCSC from Avon Intermediate School West, where she served as Principal. Prior to her time in Avon, Mrs. Walters spent eleven years in the MSD of Washington Township in Indianapolis, holding various roles such as principal, assistant principal, and teacher.
Mrs. Walters holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana State University and a Master of Arts in Education Administration and Supervision from Ball State University. She is a Nationally Board-Certified Teacher and has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to education, including being named the Indiana Association of School Principals District 8 Middle School Principal of the Year in 2021.
