Thomas C. Lesperance
The Clinton County Deputy Coroner Jason Stroup reports that Thomas C. Lesperance, 69, was cutting down a dead tree in Rual Rossville on Friday. According to Stroup, the tree twisted when it fell, caught him in the chest. Stroup said, “It was a freak accident.” The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, but foul play is not suspected, Stroup said, adding that Lesperance died of blunt force trauma caused by the blow from the tree.
