This weekend the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, returns to Lebanon.
Lincoln stopped in Lebanon, Zionsville and Thorntown in route to his first inauguration. Saturday he will arrive again at the railroad stop on South Lebanon Street (near the current Jimmy John’s deli) in Lebanon. A Lincoln impersonator will arrive at 11:30 a.m. Saturday for a short speech and then travel by carriage to Memorial Park for the annual Lincoln’s Lebanon event. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
