Linda L. DeLashmit, 81, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was born May 15, 1940 in Eagletown, Indiana a daughter of the late Earl and Versie (Stephenson) McCoskey.
She graduated from Westfield High School in 1958. Following high school, she attended business college.
On October 4, 1959, she was married to Richard Lee DeLashmit in Eagletown, Indiana. They divorced in 1983 and he passed away on February 17, 2018.
Linda was a claims assistant with Liberty Mutual in Indianapolis over 40 years before retiring. She was active with the 4-H Home Economics Club, and she loved bowling.
Survivors include two children: Richard M. DeLashmit of Desert Center, California, Sharon L. DeLashmit of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Michelle N. Harsin of Englewood, Tennessee, Samantha A. (Mike) Broach of Lebanon, Stephanie R. (Jason) Kixmiller of Whitestown, Brandon L. Myers of Lebanon, Steven L. Thacker – Hampton, Virginia; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Lois (Bill) Myers of Corpus Christi, Texas, Lorena (Vern) Dudley of Hartford City, Indiana, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda L. Thacker; one brother, Bill McCoskey and one sister, Lois Shaw.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon.
Funeral Services are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 7, at the funeral home in Lebanon, Indiana.
Interment will immediately follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
