Mrs. Lisa Marie Newman Wright, 56, formerly of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021, at CoxHealth Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. She was born May 2, 1965, in Lebanon, Indiana, a daughter of Louis William “Bill” and Roxanna Marie (Scering) Newman.
On December 26, 1989, she was married to Donald R. Wright in Tampa, Florida; he survives.
Raised in Lafayette, Indiana, Lisa graduated from McCutchen High School. She later attended Porter Memorial School of Radiology in Valparaiso. She worked as an X-ray Technician in Lafayette, Indiana and for a period of time in Tampa, Florida. She also served as Supervisor of Diagnostic X-ray at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
Lisa was a lifelong collector of Kewpie Dolls. She enjoyed fishing, photography, and was talented at cross-stitch. She loved her family whole-heartedly and always enjoyed rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Wright of Hollister, Missouri; parents, Bill and Roxanna Newman of Lafayette; sister, Tammy (Adam) Ensinger of Lafayette; two nephews, Alexander (Mayra) Peterson and Johnathan Ensinger; and two great nieces, Mia and Luna Peterson.
Visitation is planned from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon.
Memorials may be directed in Lisa’s memory to the American Cancer Society or Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.
