Loretta Marilyn Harmon, 92, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Atrium Hospital in Monroe, North Carolina. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on September 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Earl James and Loretta Frances (Caplinger) Hunt.
Loretta was married 30 years to Paul Evan Harmon before they divorced.
Raised in Boone County, she was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School. She attained her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.
Loretta had worked in the insurance and real estate field. She moved to North Caroline in 1990 and lived there until her return to Indiana, to where she resided in Anderson.
She was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church. She was a talented pianist and a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker who loved her family dearly.
Survivors include three children, Mark Gordon (Alaina) Harmon of Freedom, Indiana, Paul Michael (Christine) Harmon of Speedway, Indiana, Loretta Marcia (Roman) McNeil of Waxhall, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by one son, Matthew E. Harmon; five brothers, Joseph Bartlett Hunt, Robert Earl Hunt, Charles Eugene Hunt, and James Lavern Hunt; and three sisters, Edith Lucille French, Phyllis Jean Dickerson, and Helen Irene Huxhold.

Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. noon to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
