Obituary for Lowell L. Ross

Mr. Lowell L Ross, 90, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood in Lebanon. He was born October 30, 1931, in Boone County, Indiana, a son of the late Walter O. and Ellen Catherine (Dickerson) Ross.
Lowell graduated from Pinnell High School. Following high school, he proudly served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1953.
On November 24, 1951, he was married to Ethel Lorene (Hedge) Ross in Jamestown; she survives. He and his wife were faithful members of New Brunswick Church of Christ.
Lowell was a long-time farmer in Boone County and was also a Dairy Inspector for the State of Indiana. He was an avid sports fan and in his younger years refereed many basketball games. Lowell was blessed with a large, loving family and loved attending all his children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. In addition to being with his family, he enjoyed gardening and working in the yard.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Ross of Lebanon; four children, Becky (Joe) Guthrie, Gary (Sherry) Ross, Sandy (Chris) Schooler, Phil (Debbie) Ross; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob) Wolfenbarger, Dustin (Jessica) Schooler, Mindy (Scott) Heller, Derrick Stout, Katie (John) Agnew, Melissa (Josh) Tinkler, Neal Ross, Jamie (Jason) Leap; sixteen great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie (Ross) Hendricks of Brownsburg; two brothers: Russell Ross of Franklin and Dean Ross of Illinois; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Ross, Robert Ross and John Ross.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
