Lowell Wayne Sipe, 90, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born April 1, 1933, in Boone County to the late Clarence O. and Ethel (Smith) Sipe.

He was a 1951 graduate of Lebanon High School. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Banking on August 29, 1964. Wayne Served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 attaining the rank of Corporal.

He was married to Janet (Boyer) Sipe on July 14, 1957. Janet, his beloved wife, went with her Lord in 1992. Wayne married his second wife, Marjorie Lee (Duncan) Sipe on October 9, 1993. She passed away in 2017.

Wayne’s vocation was 39 years of banking with the Boone County State Bank, Ameritrust, and Key Corporation where he worked his way up from bookkeeper to President and was a member of the Board of Directors. He retired in 1990. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

He is survived by children, Steven Wayne (Cindy) Sipe, Mark Schuyler Sipe, Susan Renee (Gary) Broshar, Gerald (Lou Ann) Lasley, John Ryan (Diana) Lasley, and Randall (Ron) Lasley; grandchildren, Michael (Diana) Shirley, Dustin (Haley) Shirley, Electra (Nic) Curtis, Preston (Valerie) Sipe, Landon Sipe, Cody Broshar, Dylan (Alyssa) Broshar, Garrett Broshar, Kyle (Danni) Lasley, Aaron (Maggie) Lasley, Andrew (Taylor) Lasley, and Danielle Lasley; and great grandchildren, Harrison Shirley, Anniston Shirley, Hayes Shirley, Lukas Shirley, Gunner Shirley, Gage Fields, Tate Fields, Colson Sipe, Brinley Sipe, Ari Sipe, Magnolia Broshar, Clover Broshar, Claire Lasley, Wes Lasley, Cam Lasley, Charlie Lasley, Ruth Lasley, Guinn Lasley, Kylie Lasley, and Gryffin Lasley.

Wayne was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott Bradley; the mother of his children, Janet; second wife, Marjorie (Duncan) Sipe; his parents; and two sisters, Thelma Allen and Bonnie Cragun.

Private Funeral Services will be held at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana. Wayne will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
