Lucille Brunes, 96, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at her home at CrownPointe Senior Living in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on September 26, 1926, in Pittsboro, Indiana, the daughter of the late Rush and Ruth (Smock) Harmon.
On August 10, 1944, she was united in marriage to Robert Morris Brunes in Boone County. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1973.
Lucille was a graduate of Shortridge High School at the age of 16 and then attended Indiana University. From 1969 – 1992, she and her husband owned and operated Brunes Realty in Lebanon and was a member of the Realtors Association.
Survivors include a son, Randy (Sally) Brunes of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Craig (Donna) Brunes, Crista (Chad) Bradford, Angela Brunes, and Jason Brunes; and eleven great grandchildren, Jaclyn, Alexis, Blane, Laney, Brolen, Leytan, Brenner, Payton, Jason Jr, Makenzie, and Hope.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by a son, Steven R. Brunes and his wife, Kathryn; and two brothers, Harl Harmon and Faye Harmon.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St. Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
