Margaret F. Brandenburg, 90, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at Witham Memorial Hospital.

Margaret was born on Apr. 23, 1933, in Lebanon, the daughter of the late Alva and Golda (Evans) Walker. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Donald Brandenburg. They were married in Milledgeville, IN.

Margaret graduated from Pinnell High School.  She and her family actively raised and trained Quarter Horses, showing them across the state. Margaret was a member of the Red Hats Society, Kappa Delta Phi, the Antique Tractor Club, and the Centenary United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Sebring, FL, attending family events, and being involved in Shrine activities with her husband, Don.

Margaret is lovingly remembered by her sons, Mark Brandenburg of Lebanon, David (Melinda) Brandenburg of Lebanon, and Steve Brandenburg (Patsy Smith) of Pittsboro; her grandchildren, Jason (Gabby), Emily, Erin, Matthew, Margaret “Maggie” (Jess), Nick, Logan (Ashley), and Hannah (Taylor); and her great-grandchildren Lilly, Scarlett, Amelia, Judson, and Isaac.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon (Kay) Walker and sister-in-law, Janice Walker.

Family and friends will gather Friday, Nov. 3, for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Matt Skiles officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Margaret will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
