Mrs. Marilyn Sue Irby, 90, of Zionsville, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at Grand Brook of Zionsville. She was born in Frankfort, Indiana on August 19, 1932, a daughter of the late Paul and Thelma (Moudy) Morrison.
She was united in marriage to James Junior Irby on December 3, 1949, in Frankfort, Indiana. He passed away on June 30, 2009.
Marilyn was a devoted farmwife who was always there helping her husband with anything that needed to be done. She volunteered at Zionsville High School.
She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of the Radiant Christian Life Church in Westfield. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital and many mission trips.
Survivors include Daughter; Janet L. Martinez of Zionsville: Daughter-in-law; Vicki Irby of Merritt Island, Florida; Nine Grandchildren; Jennifer L. Irby, James R. (Amber) Irby, Chris D. (Samantha) A. Irby, Jocelyn A. (Eric) Burns, Nathan R. (Michelle) Artman, Chalise K. Rodgers, Aron (Alicia) Artman, Stephanie L. (Jeff) Waeltz, Casey (Jen) Artman; Twenty-two Great Grandchildren: Katherine, Tristan, Cameron, Landon, Lilli, Ryan, Lexi, Kailyn, Isabelle, Kori, Olivia, Ali, Evan, Eli, Holden, Braydon, Nora, Savannah, Raleigh, Julia, Dayton, and Noah; Brother; Jerry Morrison of Indianapolis.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by son, James J. Irby; daughter, Debra S. Artman; son-in-law, Dean Artman; siblings, Susie, Bonnie, and Richard.
