Mr. Michael Turner passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022 at the age of 65, at home surrounded by family.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Lebanon; born on August 29, 1957, to Arvel and Virginia (Rigdon) Turner and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1976.
Michael is survived by his mother, Virginia Turner; son, Jared Turner; grandchildren Wyatt and Elizabeth Turner; daughter, Sarah Turner, and her partner David Hutchinson; grandchild Nolan Hutchinson; and brothers, Steve Turner and Arvel Eugene Turner.
Michael is preceded in death by his father Arvel Turner, and sister, Janet Mitchell.
Shortly after graduating, Michael began working in construction and made a 40-year career as a master mason. He worked for many different masonry companies, the most recent being Blakley’s in Indianapolis. He was extremely passionate about historic restoration and was always quick to point out his masterpieces.
Michael was an avid motorsports fan and motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed quality art, Pin-Up, and Audrey Hepburn. He was also enthusiastic about good food, good beer, and good bourbon. He will be remembered as a one-of-a-kind, loving father and grandfather.
Funeral services with Elk Rites are planned for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. No gravesite services will be held.
