Minda Marie Maxwell (Johnson), 81, Lebanon, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, March 7, 2022.

She had been lovingly married to Paul Maxwell for 64 years. Minda was a lifelong member of Lebanon First Church of the Nazarene. She had a deep passion for spreading the gospel through her many community works at the church and to everyone she would meet. Her infectious smile and helping hand could be found in the teaching in children’s ministry, serving on the church board, serving in the missions department, teaching Sunday school, going on mission trips, and serving anywhere she felt the Lord needed her.

When Minda was not serving in the church, she enjoyed painting beautiful sceneries, gardening, playing the piano, singing, volunteering at Witham Memorial Hospital, and touching the lives of people she met. Her heart was for the Lord, and she used all her gifts to show off how wonderful God has been in her life.

Minda loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her 3 children, Jeffrey Maxwell (Deborah), Gary Maxwell, and Paula Trafford. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Dewain Johnson and Marvin Johnson and is survived by her sister, Lois Hopper.

Her life will be celebrated on Monday, March 14, 2022 in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Robert Carter officiating. Minda will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery (935 E. Washington Street).
